On October 31, 2024, our club celebrates 47 as The Rotary Club of Grenada East.
The celebration includes a week of activities, commencing on Sunday October 27, 2024, with a church service at the Grenville Roman Catholic Church, thereafter Fellowship and Brunch.
As customary, during the week we will conduct a series of Media interviews to highlight efforts undertaken by the Club and to promote Rotary International. This year we will also use the opportunity to create Polio awareness and steps taken by Rotary International to ensure its eradication.
Later in the week, we will provide three selected Elderly Homes in the St. Andrew / St. Patrick region with much needed food and toiletry supplies, as well as to spend time with the residents; interacting and sharing with them. October is the month of the Elderly, as such, we will take the opportunity to acknowledge some of elderly within our communities.
As as token of our appreciation, we will also visit Past Rotarians and Partners in Service (PIS), spending time in fellowship and distributing tokens to reflect how much we, as a club value and appreciate them.
To conclude the week of activities we will have a Karaoke night for members where we will spend an eventful moment of fun and laughter! The following weekend, November 9, 2024, Rotary Club of Grenada East will host our Annual Anniversary Fundraising All Inclusive Premium Party. The aim of this much anticipated event, is to raise funds to assist with our Annual Christmas Hamper and other community based activities that we embark on during the Rotary Year.
